Sending live video over the Internet is not that simple - packet loss, congestion, and bandwidth limitations cause image freezes, corruption, and artifacts. The SRT protocol was designed just for these conditions, it simply works. Using Repeat Request (ARQ), FEC, and Adaptive Bitrate, the SRT assures perfect quality video via any connection, including Wi-Fi and LTE. The SRTMiniServer in the studio receives live streams from JVC Connected CAM cameras with integrated SRT encoders and outputs NDI to the local area network. SRT has a future. The workflow for the live broadcast of the HillClimb Europe Championschip , which was distributed in addition to the stream on YouTube and to classic television, went smoothly. One studio for signal reception, editing and processing. The cameras on the seven-kilometer track, all broadcast to the SRT studio stream in 1080p25 quality and only with LTE connection. Kiloview N2 and E2 encoders used. The studio used SRTMiniServer and vMix to receive SRT streams. Czech Television, which is very sensitive to signal quality, was very surprised. When you need to stream video from unstable LTE or even 3G netwoks from moving car, there is no choise - only SRT can do it. When you stream over Satellite from mountains without any cell coverage, only SRT can do it. You can put 1080p h265 video into 2 Mbps and picture will be perfect! I compared RTMP and SRT many ways and I prefer SRT only for my streaming projects. With SRTMiniServer the SRT workflow is simple, flexible and convenient. It is really nice to have all analytics in one place and have such features like Proxy, link generator, delay control etc. I recommend this software and vouch for it.
